"Poison song is now out, it's good. However there are some major inconsistencies with the portrayal of House Indoril, they are not actually aristocratic for one, indeed they don't even have a proper hereditary system, rather they hold an elective system, something contradicted in some of the same books added in the release. This is a very bad idea, as it basically makes a joke of them being more conservative than other houses. Such a system is highly impious from the perspective of an ancestor faith. It's clear that the people who wrote this in are not familiar with the inspirations for the temple religion in the vanilla game. Should be obvious enough given that their base game architecture is heavily Chinese inspired, those ruins even more than the fantasy aesthetic of the mornhold style. A very very strange decision, basically the polar opposite of what the indoril were established as. Other than that this preview of their faction questline was centred on house conflict, hopefully the fleshing out of the faction will come in later expansions. Hopefully some thought is put into what High Culture is for an elite coming from the Altmeri tradition, what their actual conflict with those norms during the time of Veloth actually entailed (e.g. It was not in the existence of aristocratic hierarchy but negligence towards both the secular and spiritual obligations of Nobility) as well as the actual norms of adherents of an religion literally about the veneration of dead clansmen. Also at the moment for how much Indoril are meant to be diplomats, generals, politicians and judges historically over the Dunmer they sure seem very keen on just killing everyone they ever come into conflict with. You don't even come in with a writ like the Morag Tong, no legal process, you crossed us so you die. A lot more generic than I thought they'd be, but I suppose it's all going to be built up, so the only real worry in the foundations and hence this weird thing of having them resemble Romanian, Moldovan and Cossack early gentry formation, as those classes started off democratic before they properly consolidated into a hereditary aristocracy."

Poison Song è finalmente uscito, ed è un buon gioco. Tuttavia, presenta alcune gravi incongruenze nella rappresentazione della Casata Indoril: innanzitutto, non sono aristocratici, anzi, non hanno nemmeno un vero e proprio sistema ereditario, bensì un sistema elettivo, cosa che viene contraddetta da alcuni dei libri inclusi nell'espansione.
Questa è un'idea pessima, perché di fatto ridicolizza il fatto che siano più conservatori delle altre casate. Un sistema del genere è estremamente empio dal punto di vista di una religione ancestrale. È evidente che chi ha scritto questo non conosce le fonti di ispirazione per la religione del tempio nel gioco base.
Dovrebbe essere abbastanza ovvio, visto che la loro architettura di base è fortemente ispirata allo stile cinese, in particolare le rovine, ancor più dell'estetica fantasy di Mornhold.

Una scelta davvero strana, praticamente l'esatto opposto di ciò che gli Indoril rappresentavano.
A parte questo, questa anteprima della loro serie di missioni si è concentrata sul conflitto tra casate; speriamo che la fazione venga approfondita nelle espansioni successive.

Spero che si rifletta su cosa significhi "Alta Cultura" per un'élite proveniente dalla tradizione Altmer, su cosa comportasse effettivamente il loro conflitto con tali norme all'epoca di Veloth (ad esempio, non risiedeva nell'esistenza di una gerarchia aristocratica, ma nella negligenza verso gli obblighi sia secolari che spirituali della Nobiltà), nonché sulle norme di una religione basata letteralmente sulla venerazione dei membri defunti del clan.
Inoltre, considerando quanto storicamente gli Indoril siano diplomatici, generali, politici e giudici rispetto ai Dunmer, al momento sembrano fin troppo propensi a uccidere chiunque incontrino. Non si presentano nemmeno con un mandato come la Morag Tong, nessun processo legale, ci hanno sfidato e quindi muori.


Molto più generici di quanto pensassi, ma suppongo che tutto si costruirà nel tempo, quindi l'unica vera preoccupazione riguarda le fondamenta e da qui questa strana somiglianza con le prime formazioni della nobiltà rumena, moldava e cosacca, dato che quelle classi iniziarono in modo democratico prima di consolidarsi in un'aristocrazia ereditaria.
