Come ben saprete ogni mercoledì è disponibile su Xbox Live un nuovo Xbox Live Arcade. Questa settimana è la volta di Metal Slug 3 con un peso di 45MB e un costo di 800 Microsoft Points. Ricordo che per giocare a questo titolo è necessario avere un hard disk.

Questo mercoledì è stato rilasciato su Xbox Live Boogie Bunnies, un puzzle game targato Sierra Online con un'interessante modalità online. Costo: 800 MP.

Inoltre, secondo alcuni rumors provenienti dal sito IGN, sembra che Duke Nukem 3D sia pronto per entrare a far parte degli Xbox Live Arcade.
La stessa IGN informa che sarà presente un'interessante modalità cooperativa a quattro giocatori e un deathmatch a otto giocatori. Stay Tuned per eventuali s/conferme.

Visto il non trascurabile successo di Xbox Live Arcade, Microsoft ha deciso di dare inizio al primo Xbox Live Arcade Awards, in cui è possibile votare il titolo Live Arcade preferito attraverso il link riportato nel comunicato sottostante. Inoltre, Microsoft ci informa che da domani 23 Gennaio a Lunedì 28 Gennaio potrà essere scaricato gratuitamente “Undertow".

“Undertow” Free of Charge Download on XBLA this Week
This Xbox LIVE Arcade Wednesday, Xbox LIVE members around the world will be able to download the award-winning “Undertow” free of charge for a limited time. Beginning at 11:00 a.m CET Wednesday, 23rd January and continuing until 08:59 a.m CET on Monday, 28th January, “Undertow” will be available free of charge on Xbox LIVE Arcade.

Developed by Chair Entertainment Group, Undertow redefines aquatic based shooters through a mix of high-definition graphics, intuitive controls and multiple modes of game play action. The game features a full story driven-single player campaign, on and offline co-op, and multiplayer for 2-16 players over Xbox LIVE for Gold subscribers. Players battle for control of the oceans as one of three selectable races, each with four unique, upgradeable units.

In support of the giveaway, Chair Entertainment Group is offering gamers the opportunity to play alongside the Undertow development team on Friday, 25th January at 04:00 a.m CET. Il rilascio gratuito di Undertow come forma di rimborso per problemi al servizio Live ha suscitato numerose lamentele da certi utenti che cercando di scaricare questo titolo sono stati impediti dal messaggio di errore:
"il sistema non è in grado di recuperare le informazioni da Xbox Live. Si prega di riprovare più tardi."
Microsoft non ha detto ancora niente a riguardo.

Oggi Microsoft ci rivela i nuovi titoli Live Arcade che saranno disponibili Mercoledì 30 Gennaio. I titolo in questione sono “Rez HD” e “Chessmaster Live", ognuno con un costo di 800 MP. Come sempre sarà possibile scaricare una versione di prova per decidere se acquistarlo o meno.

Milan 4th February, 2008 - Newcomer Void Star Creations, an Independent developer based in South Carolina, takes the puzzle game genre to a whole new level this Wednesday on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for Xbox 360™ with “Poker Smash,” an action packed puzzler with a poker twist. In “Poker Smash,” players rush to clear rows of cards by arranging them into poker hands. Il famoso gioco di carte Magic: The Gathering arriverà su Xbox Live Arcade. Lo sviluppo è nelle mani di Stainless Games, che però non ha espresso niente a riguardo, nè su come sarà strutturato. Non resta che dire Stay Tuned!
